In order to volunteer as a group, the group leader will need to contact Douglas County Habitat, at 770-489-8883 or volunteer@douglascountyhabitat.org . We will discuss the possibility and timeframe of scheduling your group to come out and work on site.

To volunteer for construction on our build sites, call us

Crew leaders with skills in the construction trades

Special Events/Fund raising committee

Plan and implement activities such as Tennis Tournament, March Habitat Month, Derby Days, dedication celebrations; special events and fundraising opportunities.

Volunteers for upcoming Site Blessings, Home Dedications and our Gala Fundraising event.  

Board of Directors

Habitat's Board is charged with governance, fund raising, advocacy and strategic planning.

Faith leaders, women and minorities

Faith Relations

Contact congregations to encourage support of Habitat's mission.

Recruit a member of the congregation to be a representative for Habitat.

Volunteers willing to speak to either their clergy members or congregation.

Family Selection:

Mentor current Habitat homeowner families to stay involved with the mission and build homes with the Fund for Humanity.

Hold Family Orientations, process applications, interview and select Habitat Program families.
